Growing up a competitive synchronized swimmer and water polo player, I battled with shoulder pain and injuries through most of my teen years. Because of this I knew I wanted to help athletes and active individuals be able to train, participate in activities they love, and compete!
I graduated from the University of Alberta in 2008 with a Bachelors of Physical Education, and then pursued Athletic Therapy at Mount Royal University . I gained experience on the sidelines of many sports, and have worked with various teams including the University of Alberta Bears & Pandas, ACAC hockey teams, held the head Athletic Therapist position with the Edmonton Huskies junior football team, and at the professional level with the former Edmonton Rush lacrosse team. I am now currently working with the Edmonton Storm women's tackle football team.
Over the past 11 years, I have also been a Certified Personal Trainer. I love helping others achieve their fitness and health goals from weight loss and health reasons, to training for half marathons and various sports. I enjoy helping people learn to move and exercise without pain, and perform at their best.
As a mother of two young children, my passion is pre & postnatal fitness and health. Working with women to help foster a healthy pregnancy, prepare their bodies for labor & delivery, and help with postpartum recovery is incredibly important to me. No matter what your activity level or background is, I strive to improve the quality of movement so you can move better and pain free.
