Roxy is continually amazed by the body's natural ability to heal itself, it is this amazement, along with the encouragement of family and friends that led her to become a Registered Massage Therapist.
After travelling the world, learning more about health and fitness and seeing how beneficial alternative therapy can be, she completed her 2200-hour Massage Therapist course in Kingston, Ontario in August 2014.
Roxy then passed the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario Regulatory Board exams in October 2014 to become a fully Registered Massage Therapist.
As a compliment to her Massage Training, Roxy completed her 200hr yoga teacher training in Bali, which allows her to incorporate mindfulness and meditation into her treatments.
Forever a fan of the West Coast, Roxy moved herself to Edmonton in July of 2015 to be one step closer to the mountains. Here she found a home and great clientele with North Star Athletic Therapy. The combination of Athletic Therapy and Massage has seen many of clients recover from injury, get stronger, and reach their goals.
Her treatments combine numerous disciplines, most often using Swedish, myo-fascial, and deep tissue techniques to target both the superficial and deep tissue layers, to aid in injury recovery and prevention
